K&N FPIK #57-1500

First off, I got the K&N FPIK #57-1500 for the 3000gt/Stealth. I got this for 170$ with shipping and it arrived in 5 working days. In the kit there are 6 screws and nuts, a mas adapter, K&N oval filter, cleaning kit, 2 brackets, o-ring(to secure the filter), instruction manual on how to clean/put in intake, and CARB sticker to pass visual inspection in a smog test.

First of all, you might want to take out the battery so that you can have more space to work with. Then you must take out the normal air filter and take off the screws in the air box. This should be easy. You then have to pull out the air box, which only half of the box will come off.



Now the hard part. There are 4 screws located around the MAS. You will have to apply pressuse to one side and turn the other. I used a vice grip and a socket wrench and this got the job done alot easier than pliers. After this you just take off the rest of the air box and start putting on the various screws. Now I used the left bracket and hit it with a hammer till it fit.



Now just put the filter on the MAS and tighten it with the o-ring. Now check for any wierd noises or leaks and you should be fine. There is an increase in sound and in power above 3,000rpm. It was a well worth mod.
